All
consumers of real estate services are entitled to
written disclosure as to their agency relationship with a
real estate licensee.
NOW THEREFORE:
Effective on January 1st, 1992,
every real estate licensee is required by law to make
WRITTEN DISCLOSURE to any potential seller or
buyer, landlord or tenant, at the FIRST SUBSTANTIVE
CONTACT as to their relationship in a real estate
transaction.
FURTHER:
At the time of such disclosure, the real
estate licensee SHALL OBTAIN THE SIGNATURE
OF THE POTENTIAL BUYER OR SELLER,
LANDLORD OR TENANT, through which the consumer
shall acknowledge their understanding of such relationship.
FINALLY: Consumers
of real estate licensee services
are hereby noticed that in the event the licensee does
not provide such notice, they should request a copy of
written disclosure notice.
